Dawn Godot — Claude Code Guide

Godot 4.4 RPG prototype, GDScript only. Viewport 480×270 (scaled 3× to 1440×810), GL Compatibility renderer.

Detailed reference lives in .claude/docs/:

  • Code Style — naming, formatting, general rules
  • Architecture — singletons, scene graph, cutscene queue, data registry, _init pattern
  • Systems — battle, entities, items, UI conventions
  • Dialogue — DialogueManager integration, writing .dialogue files, DialogueAction
  • Stubs — incomplete / placeholder systems to avoid relying on
  • Overworld — map transitions, Entity exports, interaction types, camera, movement
  • UI — UI singleton, VNTextbox, ClosableMenu, pause/debug/settings menus, AdvancedRichText
  • UI Navigation — FocusStack, FocusLayer, SidebarMenu, modal layering, mouse blocking (design doc — not yet implemented)
